Hot on the heels of her contemporary classic "Collected Methods" lp, Sara Storm returns with 8 more timeless, gritty, lo-fi minimal synthpop punishers featuring whipcrack drum machine, tough and melodic squarewave grinding, and vocals that are emotionally charged and affecting even when the lyrics are heavily obscured in delay and feedback. As usual these songs have a way of getting stuck in my head for days, and the crackle and hiss of the production is far from a hindrance, instead conveying a thrilling sense of immediacy. One of the best out there doing it.
